I had to ask him if he would mind a blog post about it. He gets weird about having me talk about his callbacks, avails, or straight-to-producer sessions (afraid to jinx it, I guess), so I wanted to be sure it would be okay for me to post it before I got all excited in public. 😉
I’m just sooooo happy for him. He said it was his plan to book a few co-star roles this year. A friend in his acting class asked, “Why aim so low?” And he said, “I’m realistic. First I book a few co-stars, then a few guest-stars, then a recurring or two, then we can start looking at series regular dreams.”
How’d he get so smart about the industry? All this from a guy who had his cable TV debut just over three years ago, who only joined SAG just over two years ago, and who only got an agent and manager within the last year. Good LORD, he is rocking this self-management thing!
I’m so so so glad I dedicated my new book to him. He deserves it. He does a great job of self-management (of course, he does have a little help). *giggle*
