Hello beautiful people of Expansive Capacity!

It’s time once again for Superpower Sunday! 🙂

As always, this is all about how we can implement wee changes that may turbocharge our *existing* superpowers so that we don’t dim our own lights due to inertia, stress, or any other upper-limit problem that reveals itself along our path.

This month’s Superpower Sunday is about Wallow Time and Blessings without the Buts. Since both of these concepts worked their way into our convos these two months as we tackled “Your Relationship with Manifestation,” I’m thrilled to share how they can be a one-two punch for getting out of your own way (or to keep from blocking the flow of the abundance that is always on its way to you).

Cousin to Worry O’Clock, Wallow Time is a dedicated span of time you give for feeling low, being defeated, going dark, choosing the icecream and going deep under the covers to hide from the world.

Because it is *never* a good idea to try and push away “negative” feelings. Driving those types of emotions inward creates illness. It dulls our intuitive gifts. It disconnects us from the community of the world we’re here to serve.

Rather than pushing against negative feelings, when we allow them to flow — with a deadline — we create a container that respects the emotions. We acknowledge that emotions ARE fleeting when we let them be. It’s only our attachment TO those emotions, tacking on memories or reasons or shame or baggage of any kind that prolongs them at all.

So whether we’re blue because we didn’t book the job, we lost someone we care about, or we fear for the future of civilization as we know it, Wallow Time respects the sadness, the fear, the rage *AND* the bigger purpose our souls are here to engage in, as we occupy these bodies. I recommend 48 hours, max. Take multiple sessions should you need to, but make their boundaries clear and clean.

This concept goes with the Blessings without the Buts conversation because often, we leach off the time we *think* we’re aligned (and remember, our “align as-if” living really pumps up the magnetic ability we have to see our abundance APPRECIATE) by doing something other than basking in our bounty. We count our blessings, yet we do so with a very-quick-to-follow BUT.

“I am so healthy… but I was healthier last year. I REALLY wish I could feel like that again.”

“I have money in the bank… but I wish I could more consistently expect more than enough money to cover my bills.”

“I have such lovely friends… but I would like a better relationship with my brother.”

The work here is Blessings without the Buts. Really BASK in the things that feel great. Fully. Just like we go all-in on that Wallow Time and commit to the status, the boundaries we create for Blessings without the Buts (even interrupting ourselves to say “Not now!” when we hear ourselves starting in on the “But…” part of the convo) will serve us very well.

Keeping that energy clean — sending fewer mixed messages to the universe — is a big part of manifesting. Remember, we tell the universe where to meet us with our vibe. Let’s make that point of intersection really clear!

Admin Note: Your October Aligned Hustle Calendar is at the Welcome page if you haven’t already snagged your copy. (And as always, I invite you to check out my astro goodies if going deeper with this feels right on time for you.)

Our convo on all of this will continue in the dojo ’til our October topic, Your Relationship with Belonging, opens up on the 1st. I am *very* excited to unpack this with y’all!

I love your work on all this enoughness and I love your work ON YOU. It’s beautiful and so are you.

XO,
