Oh, hello you beautiful people. I am so happy to be back on your screen today!
I’m writing this at the end of a very busy day and it just makes me glow with glee how we’re creating the Hollywood we want in new and groundbreaking ways.
So, last week, I asked you to brace yourself for the shift we’re about to make from acute to chronic, when it comes to quarantinetimes and where all of this lands in the brain.
Even if you’re fortunate enough to not have felt any *dings* from quarantinetimes, you’re going to encounter folks who are very much impacted by what’s about to happen, collectively. Your empathy with them is a part of the sensitivity that makes the best storytellers.
To those who are CERTAIN there’s been no dip (Okay, Boomer.), consider this an opportunity to show grace to those who are not as fortunate as you to escape the impact of such a massive shift in status in the past year.
(Oh, and BTW, a symptom of depression is all-or-nothing thinking. For those who came at me about last week’s piece, INSISTING there’s no dip, no lull, no depressive situation afoot… do take notice of your lack of shades of grey. You may be more *dinged* than you think!)
