Ah, actors.
I love y’all.
You are smart and creative and clever and you’ve got a shitton of hustle.
Unfortunately, someone has taken your natural inclination to look for what might give you “the edge” in your showbiz pursuit and turned it into a reason for you to be obsessed.
[Self-Management for Actors: Stoppers and Social Media]
Please, focus your energy on THE WORK. Once aaaalllllllllllll the work is done and you have the footage of your dreams, the resumé that shows off exactly where you’re headed next (and you really like where that is), a target list that feels so HELL-YES you can’t stand the awesomeosity, a self-produced venture that has you accepting awards, and a brilliant mindset that has you so focused that you cannot derail yourself (no matter how much chatter you want to throw at the ins and outs of a creative career), okay… THEN you can obsess about metrics.
’til then, stop trying to fix non-problems. Learn about the *actual* roadblocks to a successful creative career and tackle those.
Who’s with me?

Mind if I quote your line “stop trying to fix non-problems”? HUGELY great thing to remember, at least for me.
