I was going to write a bit about Mercury retrograde today. My amazing team just published a SHORT at YouTube in which I encourage you to use these last days of Mercury retrograde in Leo to allow all the churned-up energy to give you a new perspective on communication.
Like, consider taking the stage differently, take pride in your words, have courage around topics that previously would’ve kept you quiet. Allow the Leo energy to help you ROAR right now. Call it an experiment! Mercury loves to take credit for messing around. So, use it!
However, instead of going deeper on that topic, I’m inspired by a client who is facing some upper-tier growth-challenges and finding Saturn-related themes and symbols and topics keep showing up. If you missed my blog post featuring a house-by-house list of expectations for Saturn’s ~3 years in Aries, it’s here. But, in short, Daddy Saturn brings the boundaries. And declutters everything from our lives that might be in the way of what really matters.
The word boundaries can spark images of hostile borders, remind us of times we let ourselves get taken advantage of, or stir up memories about strict diets or struggling with sobriety or anything else that felt coated in shame. And, to be clear, Saturn DOES rule shame (and shoulds), so that’s right on.
But! One of the things we forget about Saturn is the growth he makes possible. Here’s a visualization that came out of one of my mistressmind meetings, years ago. I’m so glad I saved this language.
Water is cutting through your land.
It’s a river you never invited and you’re ready for the cut-through to end.
So you build a dam.
And that dam ends up creating a lake.
And a source of electricity for the whole community.
And a habitat for animals and critters that were never there before.
And a vacation spot for visitors new to the area.
And a culture and community and commerce for the locals.
Your dam was meant to keep water from cutting through your land.
But it expanded your world in ways you never imagined.
This is the magic of the well-placed, well-timed boundary.
Isn’t that beautiful?
Daddy Saturn can be at the root of all of that. How wonderful!
