Now’s the part of this process where I turn it over to you. What do you want to know? What issues do you want me to cover? What are the experiences you’re having as another pilot season ends that you want talked about here, in this forum?
Are you fired up about how little notice you get that you have an audition? Do you feel SAG isn’t doing all that it should to protect the rights you have on the set? Do you have some secret parking tip for those crazy calls at Chelsea Studios you’d like to share? What’s your wackiest audition story? Are your drop-offs becoming more effective these days? Have you been thrilled with your new digital headshots? Do you have toys you want to share? Let’s hear it!
I’m all about sharing the toys. Yes, it’s a competitive industry, but I’ve learned that actors tend to be competing in a much smaller pool than the sheer numbers would indicate. The LA “flake factor” is huge. Relationships are powerful and attitude is everything. Talent? Sure. That’s a given. You came here to play in the big leagues. Let’s get down to business.
’til next week… do good work!
