So, here’s a fun thing I want to try for the month of July. Let’s see how far this goes!
I want to get to know the readers of The Actors Voice.
I get emails regularly from some of you. Others drop me a line now and then. Once in a while, I’ll get an email from someone who says it’s their first time writing in even though they’ve read the column from time to time. But what about those who read but never check in via email? Who are you fine folks?
What I’d like to do, all through July, is feature the readers of The Actors Voice, by way of email introduction. Shoot me an email (yes, even those of you whose words have been a part of past Your Turn or Self-Produced Clip of the Week features) and tell me the following:
- How you’d pitch yourself if someone invited you into the room and said, “So, tell me about yourself,” in one of those great actor meetings.
- How and when you first came across The Actors Voice.
- What would bring more value to the column for you, as a reader.
Feel free to include links to your website with headshot and reel, your Actors Access profile, or whatever. But it’s also fine to leave all of that out and just drop a note working out your pitch. I’d love to get to know y’all better and I figure — what fun — let’s get you all to know each other better too! Sound good? Great. Have at it. Email address is right below.
