Hello beautiful people, and happy whatever-you’re-into. Always. 😉

So, we’re coming up on the end o’ the year and this is when there’s waaaaaaaaaaay too much out there about what to do, how to do it, what to spend on whom, how to feel about everything, and blah blah blah blah blah. Personally, I’m anti-year-end-hustle messaging (those are links to recent IG posts on that whole thing) and pro-let’s-make-it-easy messaging (ditto, link).

With that in mind, I offer a tool I’m using these days. Maybe you’ll try it/like it/use it too!

Consider carefully your criteria for calling 2023 a success.

And maybe spend a little time being reeeeeeeeeallllly sure you’re using YOUR criteria and not someone else’s. Not beliefs that belong to someone else but are so practiced by you that you believe they’re your beliefs too (even if they’re not).

For me, the criteria for calling 2023 a success is this:

~ does my puppy make me laugh every day
~ does my lover thrill me emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually
~ does my work light me up and do the people I do my work with/for bring me joy
~ do I feel good in my body
~ am I living in alignment with my values

That’s it.

(And in case you’re wondering, the answers are: yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes.)

Now you.

Share with me what criteria you’re considering for calling 2023 a success. (Comments are open just below.) Y’know… or don’t share! No homework assignments, here.

Just an invitation to connect if it would feel nourishing for you to do so.

Sending you so much love now and always,

I like your checklist for a successful year. I would add to mine “Did I achieve the aspirations I intended to this year?”
2023 was a mixed bag. I dont feel awful about it, but the eclipse season wreaked havoc in many ppls lives as has the state of our economy here in the US. Im hopeful for a better 2024!

Nice addition, Janette! And yes, I’m hoping everyone’s 2024 feels more gentle, loving, and abundant in all the yummiest ways. Thank you for adding a good checklist item. Those year-long intentions are powerful.

Thanks for your checks (and balances- for those transactional folk). At my age, it becomes simpler.

        Still breathing? Check.

My criteria for a successful 2023…

Did I travel for fun (not work)?
    Did I learn something new?
    Did I create something?
Did I deeply and genuinely connect with people?

That’s just a few based on what was important and alive for me this year..Thank you for the nudge to consider this.
    🙏🏻❤️ Cindy

Wow! WHAT a year this has been for me… a bit of a rollercoaster. And, I emerge from it truly a BETTER VERSION OF MYSELF. I dug deep and healed many old wounds. I mended many relationship fences. And, a set a few bridges on fire (no regrets).

I had a “not dead yet” (LOL) experience of Attraction that both restored & unleashed me. That onion continues to be peeled.

AND – The the true blessing from having to deal with the shitty stuff is that in the course of processing all that crap… trying to make sense of it all… I found YOU, Bonnie. Thank you for your glorious spirit and deep well of knowledge. You are an AMAZING guide!!

I love emerging a better version of myself without judging the previous versions of myself. We’re all in this together! All versions of ourselves. 🙂 I’m so glad we’re in each other’s orbit, Donna. Sending you so much love for up, up, and more up from here!

Thank you for this! Once again, I find that your words have brought clarity and substance to some of the intangible musings rolling around in my brain and body… this makes sense, and this is what I was looking for, to ponder at my years end. I appreciate you so much! ❤️
